Sling Media’s ‘SlingPlayer for Mobile’ and Slingbox Recognized as Best Products of 2009

Foster City, Calif., Dec. 28, 2009 — Sling Media, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of EchoStar Corporation (NASDAQ: SATS), announced today that its SlingPlayer Mobile application has been listed on the iTunes app store as one of the top selling apps in 2009. Out of more than 100,000 apps available on iTunes, the SlingPlayer Mobile app, which lets users watch their home TV on their iPhone via a WiFi connection, is listed among the top 60 apps in the Top Grossing Apps category.
In addition, the Slingbox and the SlingPlayer Mobile app have been selected by editors at several major national and technology publications as one of the top products of 2009 and one of the top products of the decade.
1. Time Magazine – “Top 10 iPhone Apps of 2009” recognizes SlingPlayer Mobile App
TIME.com says, “TV junkies, rejoice. You can now leave the confines of home — or country — without ever missing an episode of Glee.
